Apply to attend Dobson Academy. We are currently accepting applications for the 24-25 school year.

When you enroll your child at Dobson Academy, you are giving them so much more than a  rigorous, comprehensive education! Open Enrollment 2024-2025 School Year

Open Enrollment for our upcoming school year runs from November 3, 2023. Any family that wishes to enroll their child into Dobson Academy for next school year needs to fill out an application. Once Open Enrollment closes, you will receive an e-mail with your child's application status.

Application and Enrollment Process

1. Submit an application through Powerschool
2. After enrollment is confirmed, an email will be sent from PowerSchool to request the following documents:
- Proof Of Residency
- Birth Certificate- State Certified
- Immunization record
- Any necessary court documents

There is no cost to submit an application or to attend our school. Dobson is a tuition- free school for K - 8th Grade.

After enrollment lottery, enrollment will continue on a first-come first-serve basis.

No. Charter schools are publicly funded institutions similar to district schools. While some schools charge tuition for full-day kindergarten, Dobson’s kindergarten is tuition-free.

Dobson Academy offers an additional program for 3-year-olds, called Pre-school and 4-year-olds, called Kinder-Prep, that is tuition-based. Please contact Director Monica Polanco at mpolanco@ballcharterschools.org for more information.

Yes. Please refer to the Family Handbook for color and style information.

No. Most of our students are dropped off and picked up from school. Others walk or bike to school.

Yes. All of our classroom teachers are certified with a teaching certificate from the Arizona Department of Education.

No. We accept students from across the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.

Yes. All students have the right to a free and appropriate public education (FAPE). We offer special education services as well as accommodations for students with disabilities. Please contact our Director of Student Services for more information.

Yes. Our before school program is from 6:00 a.m. to school start, and our after school program is from school end to 6:00 p.m. Our before school and after school programs are licensed through the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Yes. We love seeing our parents on campus! Please check with the office for volunteer opportunities.

Yes. Our schools follow a traditional calendar with one-week fall and spring breaks, a two-week winter break, and 10 weeks in the summer time.
