Principal Message

Welcome to the Home of the Dolphins!

Let me be the first to welcome you to Dobson Academy! I am extremely proud of our dedicated staff and enthusiastic learners, and I’m pleased that you have chosen our school for your child’s education.

I have been with the Dobson Family since 2000, starting as a fifth grade teacher. I continued teaching, moving up to 6th grade, then middle school English for the majority of my teaching career. Most recently, I was an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal at Dobson Academy. This is my first year as Principal at Dobson Academy. I am excited to partner with you to create a well-rounded education for your child.

As the demands of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to ensure that our children reach their fullest potential. I believe that all of us - the school and the community- must work together as an extended family to ensure success for all our students. It’s our responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful.

Increasing parent involvement in our school is a high priority for me in the coming year. Educational research clearly demonstrates that when parents are more involved in their child’s education the child’s likelihood for academic success greatly increases. You are all encouraged to be involved! I look forward to seeing you on campus soon!

You are always welcome to stop by and chat or call me if you have any suggestions or questions. I look forward to having a long and rewarding relationship with you and your family!

Warmly,
Jamie Bradley
